Apply the OHSAS 18001 system specification and build on other systems such as ISO 9001, 14001 and understand links to other models such as IIP, and the EFQM Excellence Model.

Define an Occupational Health & Safety (OHAS) policy.

Identify documentation, legal requirements and records.

Review existing hazards and risk controls.

Establish objectives including performance criteria.
