Risk Assessment

This intensive course has been designed to merge the main legal, procedural and practical principles underpinning best practice Health, Safety & Risk Management. Each delegate is provided with a comprehensive reference Course Manual that can be used as the record of all risk assessments conducting in their respective organisations.

Day 1 Outcomes: Delegates to possess an understanding of:

  • UK Legal Background.
  • The Health & Safety at Work Act & Responsibilities for Safety.
  • The Context in which Accidents occur.
  • Workplace Hazards.
  • Risk Assessment Principles.
  • Prepare an individual plan to conduct Hazard Assessments.
  • Agree the format for recording Hazards.
  • Conduct an audit and record Hazards found and report the findings for analysis and assessment on Day 2.

Following Day 1 delegates will conduct an Audit in their respective workplace areas. Applying the principles of our unique risk assessment system supplied they will determine the hazards in their own operating environments. In Day 2 from the hazards identified a risk assessment will be conducted which enables the prioritisation for action.

Day 2 Outcomes:

  • Report & Present the Hazards found.
  • Conduct an assessment of exposure & risk.
  • Quantify the risk.
  • Prioritise preventive measures.
  • Develop an Action Plan to conduct further assessments by a specified timescale.
  • Possess an appreciation of Safety monitoring & maintenance.
